I have seven grandchildren going back to school —two to college, four in high school and one in grade school. I told each of them Grandpa and I would pray for them every day. As the prayer below says, each child is a “precious gift” and each person who teaches our children and touches their lives each day is a gift.
On behalf of the Faith Community Nurses of the Diocese of St. Cloud, we wish all of the students, families, faculty and staff a happy, healthy school year.
Lord we seek your guidance and protection as we begin another school year, we pray:
Lord, hear our prayer.
Lord we seek your loving care for our educators and staff — may you bless them with wisdom, patience and creativity, as well as enthusiasm and endurance for their work, we pray:
Lord, hear our prayer.
That every parent recognizes each child as a precious gift, to be cared for with love, compassion and encouragement, we pray:
Lord, hear our prayer.
That those who care for children with special needs be given special gifts of gentleness, patience, kindness and encouragement in their work, we pray:
Lord, hear our prayer.
That Godly, enduring principles, values and convictions guide all our relationships and behaviors, we pray:
Lord, hear our prayer.
